JOB DESCRIPTION
 
Premier Aquatics is currently hiring swim instructors at our year-round location in Aliso Viejo! As the Orange County’s top swim lesson program, we are dedicated to excellence in instruction, and pride ourselves in going above and beyond for our students and their families. We are looking for individuals who are outgoing, responsible, and have a passion for water safety!
 
SUMMARY
 
In this role you will provide private and group swim instruction to participants in Premier swim programs. You will be supervised by Lead Instructors and Deck Supervisors. You will be required to follow Premier swim lesson curriculum. You will be primarily responsible for swimmers progress, setup and tear down, equipment care, and communicating progress to parents.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Responsible for facilitation of swim lesson curriculum as provided by Premier management Staff
  • Implementation and use of Lesson Plan daily, as provided by Premier management staff
  • Responsible for the safety of all program participants in group lessons, private lessons, and patrons on deck
  • Responsible for set up and break down of lesson stations
  • Effectively communicate information in a timely manner to the supervisor
  • Maintains a high level of customer service to customers
  • Ensures that all rules and appropriate safety measures are stated, communicated, and carried out by all swim instructors
  • Maintains positive and supportive relationships with all facility employees, guests, and supervisors in order to facilitate accomplishment of Premiers goals
  • Maintains a high level of cleanliness and order for the Swim Complex by using staff resources and by working closely with facility maintenance crews
  • Attend quarterly in-service training programs
  • Follows Premier dress code and code of conduct as stated in Premier Employee manual.
  • Preform other duties as assigned
  • Maintain updated logs of swimmer’s progress
QUALIFICATIONS
 
Minimum
  • Must be at least 15 years of age
  • Be able to work a minimum of 3 days a week (3.1 to 5-hour shifts)
  • Candidate must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and have a willingness to learn
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must have ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for 8 hours
  • Obtain a StarGuard Elite Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of your original offer date
    • Selected candidates  will receive access to a discounted StarGuard Elite Basic Life Support certification
Preferred
  • Have prior swim instructor/coaching experience
  • StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification
  • Morning, weekday, and/or weekend availability
  • Previous experience with children
  • Previous experience with people with disabilities and/or special needs
